Now that I have a regular job and a bigger paycheck, I’m looking for a new apartment. My place is too small. The guys and I looked at some ads, but I haven’t picked a place yet.
John: How about this place in Chelsea?
Belle: Chelsea is too far to commute from.
Brian: Here’s one in Soho. It’s near the station. It’s perfect for you!
Belle: This one? It’s way too expensive!
John: Here’s one that looks good, but it’s not big enough.
What’s wrong with Belle’s current apartment?

too … to ～構文と… enough to ～構文
Day 2は、too … to ～構文と… enough to ～構文を紹介します。
too … to ～構文
「あまりに…なので～できない」「～するには…すぎる」という意味になります。tooは「～すぎる」という意味の副詞で、too～to（不定詞）は「たいへん～なので…できない」という意味になります。一般的には、tooのあとには形容詞や副詞を置きます。
Belle is too shy to make a speech.
（ベルはとても恥ずかしがりなのでスピーチができません。）
… enough to ～構文
「～するほど十分に…」「十分…なので～できる」という意味になります。enoughは「十分な」の意味の副詞、形容詞で、～enough to（不定詞）は「…するほど十分に～」となります。「～」の部分には形容詞や副詞を置きます。
You are old enough to get your driver’s license.
（あなたは運転免許をとるのに十分な歳です。）
応用編～ so thatを用いた書き換えについて
too … to ～構文は，so … that ― can’t ～を用いて書き換えが可能。また、後ほどPJ4のDay1でも学びます。
Belle is too shy to make a speech.
→→ Belle is so shy that she cannot make a speech.
… enough to ～構文は，so … that ― can ～を用いて書き換えが可能。
You are old enough to get your driver’s license.
→→You are so old that you can get your driver’s license.
