be動詞＋形容詞＋前置詞+名詞
Day 1は形容詞＋前置詞の使い方をご紹介します。形容詞には、「be動詞＋形容詞＋前置詞+名詞」の語順で、「be afraid of」のようにすることがあります。
【例】
be good at～/～が上手だ
be famous for～/～で有名だ
be full of～/～で一杯だ
be afraid of～/～を恐れる
be different from～/～と違う
be late for～/～に遅れる
be fond of～/～が好きだ
be sorry for～/～を気の毒に思う
前置詞の機能
前置詞にはさまざまな機能がありますが、そのうちの1つが「be動詞をつかう英文」の補語部に置かれる形容詞に対して、「～について」、「～にとって」、「～に対して」、「～に」、「～を」等の言葉とともに名詞を追加する表現になります。
「be動詞＋形容詞＋前置詞+名詞」

動名詞とは…「～すること」の意味を表す［動詞のing 形］のこと。PJ2のDay2でも学びましたが動名詞は名詞と同じ働きをします。上記の文では、「クリエイティブなチームで働くこと」と名詞的な意味合いになります。
・「＋about になりやすいもの」 － worried, sorry, angry, happy, sure
・「+ of になりやすいもの」 － afraid, sure, tired
・「+ for になりやすいもの」 － sorry, famous, late
・「+ with になりやすいもの」 － happy, angry
