命令法
Day9では、命令法を紹介します。命令・要求・依頼・希望・禁止などを表す表現を命令法とよんで、動詞は常に原形を用います。基本的に2人称（聞き手）に対しての表現となりますので、一般的に使われる主語youは省略されます（例外的に相手を強調する場合に明示することもありますが）。
例えば、ジムの受付で「スポーツドリンクを買いたいのですが」とスタッフに尋ねたとしましょう。そして、スタッフが「ありますよ」と答えたとして、あなたが「自動販売機はどこですか？」と尋ねたとしましょう。そうした場合、
例1: Just go down this hall and turn right at the end.（このフロアを下り突き当りを右に曲がって下さい。）
といった受け答えになります。これが命令法です。
一見、「命令法」と聞くと、相手に命令しているようなニュアンスで相手に失礼では？と思われるかもしれませんが、必ずしも命令法は「命令」をしているわけではないのです。この言葉を聞いて自動販売機まで行くかどうかはあなたが判断しますからね＾＾。
