It’s Friday and I have the afternoon off. Sometimes there are free concerts in Central Park during the summer, so I’ll look for one this afternoon.
Belle: Who’s singing?
Woman: I don’t know, but she sure has an amazing voice.
Belle: Yes, she sings very well.
Woman: Her dancing is wonderful, too.
Belle: She moves so quickly!
What will Belle do this afternoon?

どのように？の度合いを表す副詞
Day12 では、どのように?（様態）を表す副詞を紹介します。Day11では頻度を表す副詞を学びましたね。
副詞とは、名詞以外を修飾する詞（ことば）です。名詞以外を修飾するわけですから、動詞のみならず、形容詞や副詞、場合によっては文全体を修飾します。そのためその意味もまた多種多様です。なお、形容詞は名詞を修飾しますが、その形容詞の語尾にlyをつけて副詞にすれば、名詞以外を修飾することができるので、以下の例文のように表現の幅を広げることができます。

例えば、上記の例を使えば
例： She is a good dancer. 彼女は良いダンサーだ
例： She dances well. 彼女は上手にダンスを踊ります。
はじめの例文ではgoodという形容詞＋名詞で「彼女は良いダンサーだ」と伝えていましたが、これを、副詞を使う場合はdances wellと動詞＋副詞で表現します。
