I’m a bit late writing this, but at the end of November, my wife and I went to Matsumoto for a couple of days.
We drove there on the highway, which took about four hours (the traffic was quite bad between Yokohama and Ebina).
We arrived and checked into our hotel.
We could see the castle from our window, and that was our first stop.
ブログを書くのが遅くなりましたが、11月末に妻と数日間松本に行ってきました。
横浜-海老名間がかなり渋滞していたので、高速道路を利用して約4時間かかりました。
到着してホテルにチェックインしました。
宿泊した部屋の窓から松本城が見え、まずはそこに行きたいと思いました。

Well, actually, we walked around the castle and went to a little restaurant called Shizuka for lunch.
The food was good and there was a nice, peaceful atmosphere.
Then we went to the castle.
It was interesting to see all the old artifacts on display, but the stairs inside the castle were extremely steep! Mind your step!
まず、お城の周りを散策して、ランチに「しづか」という小さなレストランに行きました。
のんびりした雰囲気で、料理も美味しくて良かったです。
その後、私たちはお城に向かいました。
展示されている古い工芸品を見るのは面白かったですが、城の中の階段は非常に急でした！足元に気を付けてくださいね！

After that we went to Nawate Street and got a treat at MDI Ice Cream, a famous ice cream shop with lots of weird flavours.
I had Castle Stout and apple pie. It was delicious.
We also had a look around Yohashira Shrine. The leaves had turned red, and it was all very pretty.
その後、縄手通りに行き、フレーバーの種類が豊富なことで有名なアイスクリーム店の「マウント デザートアイランド アイス クリーム」でおやつをいただきました。
私はキャッスルスタウト（松本ブルワリーのキャッスルスタウトビールに自家製チョコソースを加えたアイスクリーム）とアップルパイを選びました。とても美味しかったです。

その後、四柱神社も見学しました。紅葉がとても綺麗でしたよ。

On the second day, we went to the Matsumoto Timepiece Museum.
It was full of old clocks and watches of all different styles and was surprisingly interesting.
Then we went for lunch at a little restaurant that only sold duck soba.
It was a little expensive, but really, really nice.
2日目には、松本市時計博物館に行きました。
様々なスタイルの古い置時計や腕時計がたくさんあって、予想以上に面白かったです。
その後、鴨そば専門のこじんまりとしたお店でランチをいただきました。
ちょっと高かったけど、本当に素晴らしく美味しかったです。

After lunch we went to the City Museum.
Almost everything was written in Japanese and English, which was really cool.
I learned a lot about the history of Matsumoto and the things the city made and sold in the past.
昼食後、松本市博物館に行きました。
ほとんどが日本語と英語で書かれていて、理解しやすく良かったです。
松本の歴史や、過去にこの街で製造・販売されていたものについて、多く学ぶことができました。

On our last morning, we went and bought some souvenirs and snacks for the drive home.
The weather was gorgeous every day, and the scenery around the city was fantastic.
We had a lovely time and can’t wait to visit other places in Japan in the future.
最終日の朝には、お土産や帰りのドライブ用のお菓子を買いに行きました。
旅行中はずっと良い天気で、街の景色も素晴らしかったです。
今回の旅行が素晴らしかったから、次に日本のどこかを訪れることが待ち遠しくてたまりません！
