Hello everyone! It is so nice to meet all of you!
I’m Lisa, a new lesson partner here at b, and I came all the way from Montreal, the second biggest city in the country of maple syrup, Canada!
I was born and raised in the quiet Canadian countryside next to Montreal, and grew up surrounded by dairy farms, apple orchards and, of course, maple syrup farms.
Because my hometown was very peaceful, the first time I visited Tokyo, I was very surprised at how lively and busy this city is.
皆さん、はじめまして！　
私はb の新しいレッスンパートナーで、メイプルシロップで有名なカナダで2番目に大きな都市、モントリオール出身のリサです！
モントリオールの静かな田舎町で生まれ、酪農場やリンゴ園、メープルシロップ農場に囲まれて育ちました。
私の故郷はとてものんびりしているので、初めて東京に来た時、なんて賑やかで活気があるんだろう！と、とても驚きました。

A lot of people probably don’t know this, but Montreal is actually located in Quebec, the only province in all of Canada where the majority of people speak French, including me!
One of the most famous Canadian delicacies, the poutine, actually comes from Quebec, and that’s probably why the name “poutine” might sound a little bit strange to you.
あまり知られていないですが、モントリオールはカナダの中で唯一、フランス語が公用語のケベック州にあり、私もフランス語を話します！
カナダの有名なごちそうのひとつに「poutine（プーティン＝ポテトを使った料理で、チーズカードやグレービーソースがかかったフライドポテト）」がありますが、これはケベック州発祥なんです。
「プーティン」という名前が少し不思議な響きに聞こえるのはおそらくそれが影響していると思います。

I first came to Japan sometime in 2017 as an exchange student at Sophia University and graduated in Japanese language and literature.
Because I loved my first year in Japan so much, I decided to make Tokyo my new home alongside my husband and our cat, Milky!
I have been teaching both English and French to adults for over two years now and I have been enjoying this new role a lot, thanks to all the wonderful students I have met.
2017年に初めて来日し、上智大学の交換留学生として日本語と文学を学び卒業しました。
日本での最初の1年がとても気に入ったので、夫とネコのミルキーと一緒に東京に住むことを決めました！
2年以上、英語とフランス語を大人向けに教えてきて、今まで出会ってき多くの素敵な生徒の皆さんのおかげでこの仕事がとっても大好きになりました。

I love the challenge of learning new languages and sharing this passion with others.
For me, learning a new language is like finding the key to opening the door to a whole new world!
I speak French and English on a regular basis as well as broken Japanese with my husband, and I even study Korean in my free time, which can get pretty confusing at times!
私も新しい言語にチャレンジすることが好きで、頑張る気持ちを皆さんと共有しています。
私にとって新しい言語を学ぶことは、新しい世界へのドアを開けてくれる鍵のようなものです！
夫とはいつもフランス語と英語を話していますが、時にはカタコトの日本語で会話をしたり、時間がある時には韓国語の勉強もしているので、混乱しまうこともあります！

I have many hobbies like fashion, watching dramas, cooking or photography, but the main one is… writing!
I absolutely love writing. Books, short stories, poems or just writing about my life in Japan in general.
I hope I can share my stories with you very soon!
ファッションも好きですし、ドラマを観ることや料理をすること、写真撮影など趣味はたくさんあるけど、一番は･･･書くことです！
書くことが何より好きなんです！本や短編集、詩や日本での生活についてなど一通り書いています。
私の書いたストーリーを早く皆さんに見て欲しいな！

I also love travelling around Japan to discover new shrines and temples and, most importantly, restaurants and regional specialities!
I love trying all the local dishes and sweets from every city and prefecture.
So far, my ultimate favorites are Okinawa soba and Hiroshima okonomiyaki, but I still have a lot of different dishes to try.
If you have any recommendations about local foods from your hometown or a favorite restaurant, please share them with me!

日本のあちこちを旅することも大好きで、行ったことのない神社やお寺見つけたり、何と言っても欠かせないのはその土地にしかないご当地グルメやレストランを回ることです！
全ての都道府県の郷土料理やスイーツを食べてみることを楽しんでいます。
今まで食べてきた中では、沖縄そばと広島で食べたお好み焼きが一番美味しいかった！でも食べたことのない物がまだまだたくさんあるわ。
皆さんのふるさとのご当地グルメだったり、お気に入りのレストランでオススメがあればぜひ教えてくださいね！
