I went to Ueno zoo last weekend.I liked the atmosphere and there were many plants. I didn’t see so many animals because it was quite crowded but it was still a nice experience.
I almost bought a giant panda plushie because it was so cute. But it was over 12.000 Yen, so I had to stop myself.
After the zoo, we went to a really good onsen where you could also swim a little bit and go to the sauna.
I was surprised at the bathing suits in Japan. They cover more of the body than the ones that women wear in Germany. I knew about this but it was interesting for me to see. I didn’t dislike it though.
Did you know that in Germany, many saunas and spas are mixed?
Some Americans might be shy to go to an onsen in Japan naked at first but us Germans are even used to mixed saunas and spas.
I don’t know why but somehow it works well and women don’t get harassed at all.
One time, I went to a mixed spa and I was nervous about the men there but I quickly noticed that they were not looking at anyone at all. What do you think about this as Japanese women? I would love to hear your opinion.
