I was born and raised in county Cork, Ireland.
My hometown, Cork City, is located in the south of the county and it’s a beautiful seaside town.
My hometown is over 1000 years old and famous for its historical buildings and its beautiful harbor.

私はアイルランドの南側にあるコークという美しい海辺の街で生まれ育ちました。
コークは千年以上の歴史があり、歴史的建造物と素晴らしい港で有名です。

Ireland has a stunning landscape and a long history.
I spent a lot of my childhood horseback riding by the seaside and exploring the ruined castles and monasteries you can find almost everywhere in the country.
Did you know that Ireland is said to be the home country of the fairies?
アイルランドは魅力的な風景と長い歴史があります。
子どもの頃はいつも海辺を乗馬したり、国のいたるところにある廃墟と化したお城や修道院を探検して過ごしていたわ。
アイルランドは妖精が生まれた国と言われているのをご存知かしら？

In 2003 I started university at the University of Limerick in Limerick city, county Limerick.
I majored in translation and interpreting. I focused on translating documents and real-time conversations from English into German and French and vice versa.
2003年にリムリック大学に入学しました。
翻訳と通訳を専攻し、 英語からドイツ語やフランス語へ、またその逆も、文書や実際の会話の翻訳を集中して学んだわ。

During my time as a university student, I had the opportunity to study one year in France and one year in Germany.
I really enjoy traveling, so please don’t hesitate to ask me for travel tips and to share your travel experiences with me.
大学ではフランス語とドイツ語を１年ずつ学べる機会があったの。
旅行が大好きなので、旅のコツを聞いて欲しいし、皆さんの旅行のお話しも聞きたいな。

I came to Japan in 2010 and got a job as an English teacher in Nagoya.
My plan was to enjoy working and living in a different culture for a year before returning to Ireland and starting my career.
2010年に来日して名古屋で英語教師として働き始めました。
元々はアイルランドで腰を据えて仕事を始める前に、1年だけ知らない文化圏で働きながら生活してみようと思っていたの。

However, I quickly fell in love with Japan, its culture, and its people and eventually decided to stay in the country permanently.
In 2013 I moved to Tokyo and I have been enjoying the life in this fascinating city ever since.
