どうかしちゃうぐらいの蒸し暑さで、みんなが溶けちゃわないか心配だわ！

I have just returned from a fantastic holiday in Australia with my boyfriend. It was my first time to go to Oz and it was a wonderful experience.

オーストラリアでのボーイフレンドとの最高の休日から帰ってきたとこなの。
初めてのオーストラリアはとっても素晴らしい経験だったわ。

We had two main reasons to go there; 1) My boyfriends sister was getting married and; 2) He had to get knee surgery (painful, i know!). We did manage to get a little bit of a holiday first though.

オーストラリアへ行ったのにはふたつの理由があって、1）彼の妹の結婚式　2）彼が膝の手術を受けるため（痛い！よね）。本当はもう少し短い休みにしようと思ってたんだけどね。

First of all, we started in Sydney. We went on a ferry in the Harbour and saw the beautiful Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. We then checked out the beaches, but I was too cold to try surfing- next time!

私たちの旅はシドニーから始まったの。港からフェリーに乗って、キレイなオペラハウスやハーバーブリッジを見たわ。ビーチの様子を見て、寒すぎて出来なかったけど、次回はサーフィンをやりたいな！

We then went to the wedding, It was such a stunning venue that overlooked the Sydney skyline and the water. However, as it is winter in Oz, it was quite cold! As they usually do, the day after the wedding, in Australia, we had a big family BBQ and some drinks. We even saw a pod of dolphins swimming amongst the surfers!

シドニーの街並みが見渡せる、とても素晴らしい会場での結婚式だったわ。オーストラリアは冬だからとっても寒かったけど、結婚式の後はバーベキューをしたり、お酒を飲んだりするのが風習なんだって。サーファーに紛れて泳ぐイルカの群れを見ることも出来たの！

That evening we flew to my boyfriends hometown, Brisbane. Brisbane is much warmer than Sydney so i was starting to not feel so cold! We fell asleep pretty early… it had been a long week of late nights and early starts! And the following day was no different. We got up early and drove down the coast to Byron Bay for a 2 day romantic getaway. It was picture perfect, so idyllic and exactly as I imagined.

その日の夜、ボーイフレンドの生まれ育った街、ブリスベンに行ったわ。ブリスベンはシドニーよりも暖かくて、辛い寒さを感じることはなかったわ。夜遅く朝早い一週間だったから、とっても早くにぐっすり寝ちゃった。次の日もね。
早起きしてバイロンベイまでの海岸を2日間かけてドライブしたの。ロマンティックな逃避行って感じ。とっても素朴で想像通り、まさに写真みたいな旅だったわ！

Australia. We had our hotel up on the mountain, over looking the bay, whilst only a short drive away. We ate fresh, just caught oysters and, generally, just relaxed. We even managed to go for a swim in the sea!

山の上のホテルは海が見渡せて、少しだけドライブしたわ。とれたての生ガキを食べたりしてリラックスしてすごしたの。なんとかして海で泳ごうとさえしちゃった！

We drove back to Brisbane and hung out with his parents for a day- which was nice as we ate lots of good, homecooked food and drank fine wine.

ブリスベンから帰って来て、彼の両親と出かけたの。たくさんの家庭料理と美味しいワインをご馳走になったわ。

For most of the trip I was desperate to meet a Koala Bear, so we went to Australia Zoo on the Sunshine Coast. It was a little overcast but we still had a great time. We even got to see a Crocodile show and see some Kangaroos!

この旅行中、コアラを必死に探してて、サンシャインコーストの動物園に行ってみたわ。少しひなびた感じだったけど、楽しいひと時だったわ。クロコダイルショーを見たし、カンガルーにも会えたの！

After 2 weeks, my holiday had sadly come to an end. I was very sad but I know I'll definitely go there again someday soon and have Christmas in Scotland to look forward to now!

休暇が終わって2週間経ちゃった、とっても残念。でもまた必ず行けるし、スコットランドでのクリスマスが今から待ち遠しいわ！
