I went to Sapporo, Hokkaido for the snow festival!
It was my second time going to Hokkaido but it was my first time experiencing Hokkaido during the winter. I went with my husband and my friends.
When we first arrived, we went to Hitsujigaoka and played in the snow.
We were able to try cross country skiing and they had a big slide made of snow.
When we got very cold, we warmed up inside and had some Hokkaido ice cream and some custard buns that look like sheep.
北海道の札幌雪まつりに行ってきました！
北海道は今回で2回目でしたが、冬に行くのは初めてでした。夫と友人と一緒でした。
到着してすぐに羊ケ丘に行って雪で遊びました！
クロスカントリースキーに挑戦し、そこには雪で作られた大きな滑り台がありました。
寒くなってくると、中で温まり、北海道アイスクリームと羊の形のカスタードパンを食べました！

We spent most of our trip enjoying the snow festival.
We saw a lot of impressive snow sculptures!
I have never seen such big snow sculptures before!I was amazed by how detailed they were.
The sculptors were very talented.
We also had fun skating and taking pictures with the mascots.
旅のほとんどの時間を雪まつりを楽しんで過ごしました。
多くの素晴らしい雪の彫刻がありました！
こんな大きな雪の彫刻は今までに見たことありません！どうやって造られているのかと驚きました。
彫刻はとても素晴らしいですね。
スケートをしたり、マスコットと写真を撮ったりして楽しみました。

On our second day, we went to visit the Chocolate Factory in Shiroi Koibito Park.
They had beautiful illumination and cute tiny houses.
I also bought some candy to enjoy with my friends.
On our last day we took a long train ride outside of the city to Otaru.
During this time, it was snowing very heavily and I couldn’t see anything because of the snow but the snow made the streets and river look beautiful.
There were candles everywhere around the river. It looked so magical.
2日目には白い恋人パークに行きました。
そこにはきれいなイルミネーションや小さなかわいい家もありました。
友人と楽しみながら飴を買いました。
最終日には、電車に長い間乗って郊外の小樽まで行きました。
滞在した間中、大雪が降っていて、一面の雪景色でした。雪化粧した道や川がとても綺麗でした。
川にはキャンドルが灯っていて、魔法みたいでした。

My favorite part of the trip was the food!
We went to the fish market and ate a lot of sea urchin and crab.
I love kanimiso and I was so happy that I was able to eat a lot of it when I was in Hokkaido.
I should have bought some more and brought it back home.
The next time I visit Hokkaido, I want to go during Springtime and see the lavenders bloom.
Purple is my favorite color and I want to see the Hokkaido Hills covered in flowers.
この旅行中、気に入ったのは食べ物です！
魚市場でたくさんのウニやカニを食べました。
私はカニ味噌が大好きで、北海道では思う存分食べることが出来て本当に嬉しかったです。
たくさん買って帰れば良かったのにと思っています。
次は春に北海道に行って、ラベンダー畑を見たいです。
紫は私の大好きな色で、北海道の山が花に囲まれているのを見たいです！
