Hello everyone!　
This month I’m writing about football.
But first let me explain about the name, because it means different things in different countries!
皆さん、こんにちは！
今月はフットボールについてブログを書こうと思います。
国によって名称が違うことがあるので、はじめに呼び名について説明したいと思います。

In England, football is the most popular sport. The Premier League is the top football league in England.
The most famous teams in England are Manchester United and LIverpool.
Both of these clubs have long histories and are the two most successful clubs in English football. Manchester United became popular in Japan recently when Shinji Kagawa joined the club for a couple of years. Also,
David Beckham, one of the most famous footballers ever, played for Manchester United.
イングランドでは、フットボールが最も人気のスポーツで、プレミアリーグはイングランドで最高峰のリーグです。
一番人気のチームはマンチェスターユナイテッドとリバプールで、ふたつのクラブとも長い歴史があってイギリスのフットボール界で最も成功したクラブです。
マンチェスターユナイテッドは香川真司選手が加入したこともあり日本でも話題になりました。
またデイビット・ベッカムはマンチェスターユナイテッドでプレーした有名な選手の一人です。

I support Liverpool and our biggest rivals are Manchester United and Everton, which is another club from the city of Liverpool.
Liverpool aren’t playing well this year and right now they are 8th in the league.
Liverpool’s most exciting match was the Champions League Final in 2005.
They were losing at half-time but came back to win the match.
If you want to watch an exciting match, I recommend it.
僕がリバプールを応援していて、僕達の一番のライバルはマンチェスターユナイテッドとリバプールにもうひとつあるクラブのエバートンです。
リバプールは現在リーグ8位で今年はあまり成績がよくはありません。
今までで一番興奮したリバプールの試合は2005年のチャンピオンズリーグ決勝でした。
ハーフタイムの時点では負けていましたが逆転し試合に勝ちました。
もしエキサイティングな試合を見たいならチャンピオンズリーグをおすすめします。

I used to play football when I was a child. I used to play on the street where I lived with other children who lived there too.
Also, I used to play for my school team.
I played in different positions but I never liked to play in goal.
I was always worried the ball would hit me in the face! And it sometimes did 🙁
僕が子供のころ、同じストリートに住んでいる子どもたちとよくストリートでフットボールをしていました。
学校のチームでもプレーもしていて、様々なポジションでプレーしましたがゴールキーパーだけはやりたくありませんでした。
たまに当たったこともありましたが僕の顔にボールが当たらないかいつも心配していました。

I don’t play football now, but I like to watch it on TV.
I like to watch “Match of the Day” which is a highlights show.
They show all the goals and exciting action from the Premier League games.
今はフットボールをしないけど、テレビで試合を観るのは好きで、試合のハイライトが見れる“マッチ・オブ・ザ・デイ”を見るのが好きです。
プレミアリーグの試合の中の全てのゴールシーンと技が決まったシーンが観れます。
